What is a Record Field?

A record field specifies the type or format of data/information that is stored in a given field. For example: data, single select, formula, rollup, long text, attachment, are a few fields that data can be displayed with. Now let's take a closer look at the record fields featured in the dashboard.

Record Field Breakdown

Item - The item field on the far left represents the name assigned to the job.

Timing Status - In the next column we have the status of the job. Here you can see if there’s an issue with the job, whether it’s on-track or off-track and you’ll notice in the item column to the left, the item names are grouped by the timing status. Meaning that all jobs that have an issue will be grouped together and etc.

Customer Company - This field is the name of the company that the job is with.

Order Number - The Order is made up of the items a customer orders, some of which may need to be produced ("Jobs"), some which may need to be fulfilled. An Order Number is assigned to every "Order" that is placed, it is often (but not always) different than the Job Number. *** Tip: The customer pay for the order that is placed. A discount is applied to an order. An order ships to multiple locations.

Status - The far-right field represents the stage in which the job is in. You can see a few examples in the picture with billing, order received and designing.
